Default Lavender frosting?

I'm thinking of making something with lavender frosting. What goes good with
lavender?

How about some candied lemon zest, or candied ginger, or dried pineapple? I
think a sweet/sour taste would go well with lavender. Maybe some candied
fruit? I'm a Pooh bear.

There is a guy at church who makes squares with lavender frosting. The
squares taste almost like shortbread, but I do not know what is in
them. It looks pale in color, like vanilla.

I'd stick to vanilla as you want to taste the lavender- just don't go
overboard on it.

I know it's not frosting but lavender would be excellent for creme
brulee.

A good butter cream frosting sprinkled with candied violets is very good.
