Default Thawing Turkey in the Fridge

Did you see the recipe for a gallon of turkey gravy in the latest
Penzey's catalog? I'm thinking of making it and freezing it in
portions for later use.

No, I don't subscribe to the catalog and I don't see it here either...

Thanks, but you don't have to go to all that trouble! Does your
printer scan? Scan it into your photo editor and post a link to the
picture. If you don't have an online account with Picasa or one of
the others, just use tinypic.com.

Why not make turkey gravy the easy way and 'do ahead'? Just get a pack of
wings or thighs or whatever and do gravy a day or two before you get into
serious turkey production. Any extra is good for baiting crab traps. Polly

Heh, I don't like turkey well enough to do that Polly. I only eat it
once a year (and of course the leftovers, but as little as possible -
although I do like it in tetrazzini).
