Amazon sends 'suggestions' of stuff you have shown interest in. I
got an email this morning that they have canning and preserving books on sale. Some of them look really interesting. Especially one called "Canning and Preserving For A New Generation: Bold Fresh Flavors For The Modern Pantry". If anyone is interested..... http://www.amazon.com/Canning-Preser...UTF8&node=4207 |

It is the same as >> having a Kindle except you can't put it in your purse and take it with >> you. >> (Sorry to piggy back.) If I can't put it in my purse and take it with me I'm not interested. I like the feel of books. I like being able to turn pages and put a real bookmark between them. I don't want to read books on my computer anymore than I want to watch movies on it. I enjoy sitting down with a good book. Books rule! Jill |

Perhaps of more universal interest, but I don't go there and I do preserve -- some.; ) Yesterday I made quince jam, or marmellata di cotogne. |

Sure, and then the thread here drifts to canning instead of where it is better suited. <shrug> -- Barb, http://web.me.com/barbschaller September 5, 2011 |

There's always a grouch. If it's about food, it's appropriate here. (Unless it's why Allah says you should eat this and not that.) Don't worry. > I thought these would be of interest to those here to do. > > Didn't mean to step on any toes. You didn't especially. It's just that when there is an existing and appropriate group for a topic, I hate to see it here. Preserving, computing, pets, politics. . . . Preserving is probably a subset of cooking, but there's a group devoted to that particular topic. Like I said, it's not a hanging offense. -- Barb, http://web.me.com/barbschaller September 5, 2011 |
