Default Canning and preserving

Amazon sends 'suggestions' of stuff you have shown interest in. I
got an email this morning that they have canning and preserving books
on sale. Some of them look really interesting. Especially one
called "Canning and Preserving For A New Generation: Bold Fresh
Flavors For The Modern Pantry".

If anyone is interested.....

If you have Kindle there's even one for free !!.

If you haven't downloaded Kindle to your PC, you should.

(Sorry to piggy back.) If I can't put it in my purse and take it with me
I'm not interested. I like the feel of books. I like being able to turn
pages and put a real bookmark between them. I don't want to read books on
my computer anymore than I want to watch movies on it. I enjoy sitting down
with a good book. Books rule!

This would be better posted on rec.food.preserving.

Perhaps of more universal interest, but I don't go there and I do
preserve -- some.; ) Yesterday I made quince jam, or marmellata di cotogne.

Sure, and then the thread here drifts to canning instead of where it is
better suited. <shrug>

There have been several conversations here about canning and
preserving and pressure canning, etc.
I thought these would be of interest to those here to do.

Didn't mean to step on any toes.

Just drumming up business for a nearly dead ng. It's perfectly
appropriate here.

There's always a grouch. If it's about food, it's appropriate here.
(Unless it's why Allah says you should eat this and not that.)

Just to be clear: sometimes I'm the grouch.

Unfortunately. :-(
It's not the end of the world. Don't worry.

You didn't especially. It's just that when there is an existing and
appropriate group for a topic, I hate to see it here. Preserving,
computing, pets, politics. . . . Preserving is probably a subset of
cooking, but there's a group devoted to that particular topic. Like I
said, it's not a hanging offense.
