Default Goes with cinnamon?

There's
*apples and cinnamon,
*blueberries and cinnamon,
*cinnamon and walnut cookies,
*cinnamon and raisin,
*cinnamon and cream,
*and I also like a certain ratio of chocolate to cinnamon.

What other flavors go with cinnamon?

I put a small about of cinnamon in my chili. A *small* amount.

And I agree with you about cinnamon and chocolarte too. I also put a
*small* about of cocoa in my chili.

Cinnamon is a savory spice as well as sweet.

Cinnamon sprinkled on "wheels" of fresh orange.

Besides lending a good flavor to most foods, cinnamon is very healthy
for a person. I butter my toast, or English muffin and sprinkle cinnamon
on it. I add it to my oatmeal when I fix it in the microwave (also add a
handful of raisins before cooking) and I don't use the flavored instant
packages of oatmeal either. I put it in with the egg/milk mixture when I
make French toast, along with a little pure vanilla extract. It can be
added to many cookie/cake recipes for added flavor...just let your
imagination soar!

And tequila!! :-) Kind of like lick of salt and slice of lime, but put
the cinnamon on the orange, then take a shot of tequila and eat the
orange/cinnamon! YUM!

Men. It's been more than 60 years since I tested it but if you want to go
straight to a man's heart, bake something cinnamon. Glazed cinnamon rolls
with toasted pecans does a better 'come hither' than any Chanel #5. Polly

I guess "egg" can be a flavor, as in egg nog.

Cinnamon and vanilla sounds like an interesting combination. In New Orleans
they call the combination of almond and vanilla: "nectar".

That's true. I guess I tend to think of butter more as an ingredient than as
a flavor.

I like just about all rice. Don't eat so much of it anymore, but when we
were kids that was one of our cereals. White rice with milk, sugar, and
cinnamon. I used to love that.

My wife likes cinnamon in her morning coffee, which is espresso, a few
shakes of cinnamon powder, and a bit of cream.

Actually, not uncommon. The trick is to add enough so it can be

yes, and most places seem to miss that trick. But great when they get it

It is, but butter has a definite flavor or else they wouldn't have
made butter flavored Crisco and all the other things that are supposed
to "taste" like butter.

I should try substituting cinnamon or my usual suspect, allspice, for
nutmeg the next time I try to make bolognese. One of these days, I
will get it right... or maybe bolognese will be another "banana bread"
for me and I'll never get it right.

I think they make cinnamon Cheerios now.

I guess custard has an eggy flavor, if vanilla isn't added.

I don't think "eggy" has caught on in the US quite yet. In China they make
egg custard tarts. They also make them in Brazil and Portugal.

I'll have to try it with burnt sugar.

I'll try that next time, maybe with some sugar.

I think anything mulled is pretty delicious.

If more people mulled, or cocoa-d, or tea-d, they wouldn't be as stressed
out. Maybe that's why people who drink soda and coffee are said to be more
angry.

I often serve an individual portion of a dish garnished with a bit of
butter.

I used to know a person that liked a pat of butter whipped in to a cup
of hot chocolate

But soup, potatoes, veggies, why else add butter but for its flavour?

When i cook beans i inevitably have a bowl with just s & p and a bit of
butter and serve with either fresh bread & butter or steamed & buttered
corn tortillas.

I guess back in the '50's everyone would eat their beans with a stick of
butter.

How times have changed.
