Good idea. I've never liked brandy or bourbon balls, rum is much
smoother tasting. Chocolate truffles are easy enough to make. Roll
ganache into a ball, coat with powdered unsweetened chocolate,
chocolate sprinkles, chopped nuts etc.

I added booze to rum balls when my kids were little. They didn't like
the results well enough for me to worry about them snarffing it all up
when I wasn't looking.
