Default John Kuthe - truffle filling

Just signed up for this and looked at member recipes... this may give
you an idea for a new truffle filling.

Oreo Truffles
http://www.justapinch.com/recipe/deb...n&p=5&o=newest

Ingredients

1 pkg Oreo cookies
8 oz cream cheese
1 pkg chocolate or white almond bark

Directions

1. Put cookies into a Ziploc and seal. Use a rolling pin to finely
crush. Or place in food processor and pulse

2. Add finely crushed cookies to the cream cheese and stir.
Roll into 1-inch balls and chill.

3. Melt almond bark.
Dip cookie balls into almond bark and place on wax paper covered
cookie sheet.

Let set

Makes about 3-4 dozen.

Interesting, but I eschew most store bought "ingredients" in my
Christmas Candy.

There are a great many things to be made though! Thanks for sharing.

and there is nothing worse than defiling real candy with processed stuff,
unless its defiling a wondurous processed food like an oreo with anything
but cold ass milk... no double stuffed, nothing as a coating, and please no
food coloring or flavoring in the white goop, Lee

You can always make your own cookies to use, John.
