I have seen it twice live and many times on TV. Although I do like to see
ballet I do get rather tired of the music and the plot.

Funny you should mention Nutcracker. Unshelled nuts is part of our
Christmas treats traditions. We have been gifted with assorted crackers,
one of Hiliary Clinton and other rather rude implements but had only two
that really worked. Neighbor borrowed one; didn't come back. No matter. I
figured I could buy one at WalMart. Spare me the sniping, it's the only
'big' store within range.
I looked in the kitchen tools section. No. Looked carefully there.
Still no. I looked in the barbeque tools. No. Searched beside the nuts
section of the snacks aisle as well as where they stock nuts for baking.
Still: No.
Lo and behold. WalMart stocks the nutcrackers beside the ice cream.
Silly me. Why didn't I think of that? Polly

Yes. There is something more special when it is live. And each version is
always slightly different.
