Default Kitchen stuff online?

Could you tell me a good place to buy reasonably-priced kitchen
stuff online? I can find pots and pans in Bloomington, Indiana,
but I haven't had any luck finding Christmas-themed cookie
cutters, and I can't find a springform pan.

There are a couple cooking utensil stores in town, but all the
stuff is way beyond my budget. There's no way I have $80 for
a sauce pan.

Thank you, Michael

You just need to use google. Type in
"Kitchenwares" or some other obvious words and
you'll get many places to choose from. King Arthur
Flour sells many pans, probably cutters too?
www.kingarthurflour.com
Chef's Catalog is always good too.

I've used these for 30 years and like them because, with the right dough
and thickness, they leave an imprint for easy decorating. My
Halloween (and Thanksgiving) cut-outs are in the freezer, ready for
tomorrow's adventure with the Blue Ribbon Granddaughter. "I go Baba's

Sugar Cookies

Recipe By : posted to r.f.cooking by Barb Schaller 10-29-04
Serving Size : 66 Preparation Time :12:00
Categories : Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
4 cups sifted cake flour (14 oz.)
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup soft shortening (5 oz.)
1 1/2 cups sugar (11-1/2 oz.)
2 eggs -- unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 tsp. milk

Sift dry ingredients together; set aside. Mix shortening with sugar,
eggs, and vanilla until very light and fluffy. Mix in flour mixture
alternately with milk. Refrigerate dough until easy to handle (several
hours or overnight). Roll on floured board, cut, and bake at 400
degrees until delicate brown, about 9 minutes.

This is the only sugar cookie recipe Ičve had much luck with!! The
dough handles beautifully! Design imprints from a cookie cutter remain
on the cookie, making decorating very easy. 11/25/89: ~5-1/2 dozen
cookies.

I have had good online experiences buying cookware at Boscov's. This
is a Pennsyvania based department store with a large selection of
kitchenware. Sale and closeout prices can often be exceptional
bargains. Their shipping costs are low and they frequently feature
sales with free shipping.

Thanx, Margaret... I found an offset spatula which Child Bride has
been talking about, and lost about an hour browsing.

I am glad you found something. Use It In Good Health.

I ordered I corkscrew from them a couple of days ago and I should have
it tomorrow. I hope it is a good one; it was very inexpensive.

If it works well, take the price tag off and no
one will ever know. If it doesn't work well,
send it back.

Gloria, I hope it works well, because I want to give it to a friend.
I will not try it, but I will make certain that the friend tries it
out when I give it to him, so that I will know. It is only $10.00,
for one of those lever openers, that's why I am worried, but I will
leave the price on. The least expensive were more than twice as much
until now.

Thanks for all the great suggestions about where to buy kitchen
wares. I know that a Google search can bring up a lot, but I
prefer personal recommendations over a shot-in-the-dark web
search.

So far, I bought two sets of cookie cutters from the cookie
cutter site. That's just a beginning.
