I guess it's the Italian answer to a Chip Buttie.

By the way, talking about unusual pizza toppings... have you ever seen
fritto misto (breaded deep fried calamari and prawns) on a pizza? Someone
here "invented" this concoction and he also named it "pizza reggiana"... I
had it once and it wasn't bad, but I never ordered it again: it doesn't make
much sense

It's got everything wrong with it. Excessive everything!

Are you snowed up, snowed in or snowed happy?

Exactly

I'm snowed happy, not much hassle and just some more driving time. Yesterday
getting home took almost 45 minutes instead of the usual 15, today getting
to work took almost the same, apart from half an hour spent clearing the
driveway at 7AM. I just woke up an hour before and got at work with a 15
minute delay, the company decided not to mark today's delays so I'm a snowy
happy camper

I'm trapped like a rat and can only pray something gets better before 5 AM
Saturday when I leave for Fiumicino

By then it will have stopped snowing, let's hope the temperature drop
doesn't worsen things up too much. Isn't there some tractor cleaning the
roads up there? Or are you too far from the roads they clean?

They clean practically nothing. The E 45 and the road to Arezzo which joins
the A1 e basta. If it goes completely to hell they will plow a bit more,
but I know to my chagrin that they do not plow the mountain tops which are
completely iced by 4X4s going over them.
It's to snow here through Sunday, but to Fiumicino it will be some of my
road (currently a mess), the E45 and the tangenziale.
I posted some foto of my borghetto this AM on Facebook.
