Default Terrific wine

Valentine dinner tonight at our favorite local Italian restaurant. I had
a glass of wine that was so fragrant I wanted to dab some behind my
ears. I spent the first five minutes just sniffing it. Esk Valley (NZ)
sauvignon blanc, redolent of citrus and fruit, delicious with the veal
Marsala I had. It was truly one of the nicest wines I have ever smelled
and tasted.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I found this about it:
Esk Valley 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough

Restaurant Wine - December 01, 2011

The Sauvignon Blanc is also exceptional: supple, full bodied, and
intensely flavored, with excellent balance and length. It has rich
texture, crisp acidity, and a persistent finish, tasting of
grapefruit, green bean, pineapple, passion fruit, and lemon peel.
Delicious

I rather like Virginia Madsen's analysis of a good wine's flavor and
why she likes them in "Sideways"..."Because they taste so ****ing
good!"

:-)

Enjoying a 2008 Two Ponds Cabernet Sauvignon right now, in fact it's
time for a second glass!

Marlborough style NZ Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite too. Trader Joe's
carries three Marlborough style wines. I like Kim Crawford and Picton
Bay best - the third is Kono, but I don't like it as much as I like
the other two.
