I'll be in a pasta making class with Squeaks Woot, Woot!!
Our instructor is a guest chef from Italy, I'm sooo looking forward
to this.

Here's the class description:
After making a variety of pasta shapes by hand, you値l learn to whip
up some quick and delicious sauces, including Olive oil, garlic and
chili; Scarpara; Puttanesca; Matriciana; and Carbonara.
The class we are taking includes a wine pairing which I really, really
need, because I really need the help.

I'm not only excited about the the class, but I have the opportunity
to spend the weekend with great friends.

Happy dance, happy dance.

I'd never heard of scarpara before. I learned something and I didn't
even have to take the class!

(When Lin was under the weather last week I made pasta carbonara for
dinner; it settled her stomach pretty well.)

Who is doing that spelling? Region of Italy would be interesting.
Maybe Vilco would recognize it.

I asked around for sponsors for classes in Conn, Mass and Maine last
year and they couldn't see the use. In California, Oregon and
Washington restaurants love having classes because it brings the
students back for meals. There are different ideas about the same
things all over the map.

As few years ago my wife wanted to take me to my favourite local
restaurant for dinner but there was cooking demonstration going on that
night. It turned out to be even more fun that going for dinner. The
chef demonstrated the preparation of each of the dishes that was served;
pumpkin and butternut squash soup, grilled California cut strip steaks
with vegetable bundles and chocolate mousse.

I have but tried doing the vegetable bundles but it did get me started
on soup making.
