I love ketchup on any kind of fried potatoes but not on mashed or baked. I had a co-worker years ago who used to gross us out a meal time by ordering mashed potatoes from the restaurant down the street and then mix it her own ketchup. It would be bad enough to just put it on top and then eat it but mixing it in is really gross. When it was my turn to go out to pick up our dinner order I would refuse to get hers if she ordered mashed potatoes. ;-) Kate -- Kate Connally “If I were as old as I feel, I’d be dead already.” Goldfish: “The wholesome snack that smiles back, Until you bite their heads off.” What if the hokey pokey really *is* what it's all about? |

This is one of those things that is as easy and simple as a PB&J - but if someone hadn't written the 'recipe' down, I never would have experienced some great food. Boil the yucca- mash it- roll it into balls and fry in 350F oil. For 'tater-tot-like' goodness we preferred the balls about 1" in diameter [2tsp]-- I used the #40 [1 1/2T] portioner for the larger balls that I then drizzled a panela syrup over. They were best warm. Jim |

Seemingly half of all Mexican restaurant dishes. What's ketchup other than a low quality tomato condiment that had sugar added to make it appeal to small children? What's a hot dog but a low quality meat product designed to reduce the total amount of flavor to make them appeal to small children? Clearly what flavor hot dogs have is improved with ketchup. Clearly they won't have something that improves the flavor of their dogs. That might start to compete with the superior pizza or excellent "italian" beef or many other wonderful local foods. I like ketchup on my hotdogs!!!! I like mustard for certain uses. I mustard with cheese and crackers. If I eat some sort of sausage that is not on a bun, just on the plate, I like to cut off pieced and dip them in mustard. But once you put it on a bun then no mustard, just ketchup or something. >> I always use ketchup, sweet pickle relish, and onions on my hot dogs >> (unless it's a chili dog or sauerkraut). > > I use mustard, relish, and onions, ketchup sometimes and chili....some combo > of those. In fact I'm having some tonight for dinner. I bought the bratwurst rather than the plain hotdogs because the regular hotdogs are too skinny and they come in an odd number. The bratwurst has 4 nice fat sausages in a package so I bought 2 packages and one package of 8 rolls. I like when it comes out even. I think they should enact a law that hotdogs and buns should come in equal quantities!!!!! > I've learned to stop buying the annoying hot dog buns. They only taste right on a good hotdog bun. I just don't pull the bun apart too far - just barely enough to get the dog in and then pile the toppings on top. If you get good bakery buns that aren't already cut then you can control how deep a cut you make. >> At least I used to. Lately I >> tend toward Thai sweet chilli sauce.
