We have a restaurant in town that has an open concept kitchen. The noise of the kitchen exhaust fans served to increase the ambient noise to the point of being really annoying. I once went to a Japanse restaurant where you get seated with a bunch of people and they cook you meal at the table/grill. Th show was interesting. The food was disappointing. |

And "Benihana" (means "pretty flower") has little to nothing to do with anything in Japan. |

I guess that people who don't cook like to watch other people cooking, even when it's a high priced restaurant. -- Food is an important part of a balanced diet. |

Now, if it was "freeairfare42" I'd be interested. |

Unseasoned food seldom can stand on the quality of its ingredients. |

I, at least, don't know how to cook as well as the chefs at a first-rate restaurant. And the ones with special deals for sitting in the kitchen and such tend to be at the high end. > We have a restaurant in town that has an open concept kitchen. Yes, that could certainly be a problem. > I once went to a Japanse restaurant where you get seated with a bunch > of people and they cook you meal at the table/grill. Th show was > interesting. The food was disappointing. I've been to teppanyaki, or however it's spelled, restaurants a few times. I agree that the food is relatively dull for the price, but the show is pretty good. I also sometimes sit at the sushi bar, where you can watch the chefs work. -- David Dyer-Bennet, ; http://dd-b.net/ Snapshots: http://dd-b.net/dd-b/SnapshotAlbum/data/ Photos: http://dd-b.net/photography/gallery/ Dragaera: http://dragaera.info |
