Beautiful spider and great pic. I'm surprised you have a spider
of this size in March. I usually have to wait until September
to see such size. Mine like to build elaborate webs in
cypress trees.

Wow, this early in the year? A few years ago I had two argiope aurantia
spin webs flanking the back patio. Here's a picture of one of them:

Down here they're known as "writing spiders". They're magnificent
creatures. They help keep down the pesky flying insect population.

Neither do spiders. There are no flies on Sheldon.

Was taken with my old Olympus, I wasn't the one who asked about a
camera other than that new fangled gadget I posted about. I have a
new Canon but I like my old Olympus better.

For some reason the spiders are out very early this year, probably due
to the unseasonably warm weather. There's usually one or two at every
window, I like them. There's one living on my kitchen counter too,
under the toaster.

Cats make quick work of any flies that sneak in.

Not really, was only wondering if it truly had any utilitarian
benefits. I don't do enough photography to become a lab rat.

The weaver seems to be quiet big as compared to other ones. The picture quality is excellent.
