Default BBQ Pickle sandwich?

I grew up up with BBQ and no pickles.

But I've eaten sandwiches, loosemeat sandwiches and pulled pork sandwiches,
with pickles and cheese. They're really tasty.

What other BBQ dishes contain pickles?

I know a lot of bbq joints love to put pickles on their pulled pork
sandwiches, but I'd rather have my pickle on the side, please. As far
as other bbq dishes containing pickles, I have no idea.

When I was living in TN, the big thing to do with pulled pork sandwiches was
put cole slaw on top of the meat. I never understood that.

I've never seen slaw on q sandwich in Tennessee unless it was a
transplanted bbq'er from N.C. and I hate it when they do that to my
sandwich. If I go in a place and I see sandwiches being served to
others with slaw on top (blech) I tell them to put the slaw on the
side.

I have no idea where they came up with the idea. But in western TN all the
BBQ joints served slaw on their puled pork sandwiches. Of course it should
be served on the side.

I shall endeavor to explain: People do that because they like it.

Do you need help with "like"?

Is it any more tasty than rubber bands? I'm interested in learning to
like squid, but I still haven't been able to taste it.

I hate slaw on the top. I prefer it on the side.

If you're talking about cole slaw, I agree with you.

I had some terrible cole slaw at a Manhattan deli once. The taste was stuck
in my mouth for days. It was absolutely disgusting. But I heard kimchi is
actually worse.

Kim-chee is unutterably gross.

I love slaw on top. I prefer more on the side.
