What she meant by "We don't 'do' tinned tuna/salmon" was that she thinks
it's "poor people food" and she considers it beneath her.

Also, Kyna died not all that many years ago. She was only fed once every
week, and it couldn't have been good for that poor dog's digestion to go
from feast to famine all the time.

Ohhhhhh, pooor kyna!!! Well, I didn't understand too whatPeter means
