Of course. Where else would you collect anvils. I guess it's more
exciting than collecting ceramic pigs, but only slightly. I guess the
shooting part would be a hoot, at least until you ran across a Chinese
anvil and it blew apart instead of up.

If you're into blacksmithing, collecting anvils makes more sense. They
don't make them the same way they used to, or so my blacksmithing
friend tells me. You don't blow a good anvil, though--it's not really
replaceable or repairable.

The thing that makes it different than tchotchkes is that an anvil is
an actual tool--it's designed for a purpose (other than "separating
the mark from his money." I'm not into it either, though.

Durn - now I'll have the Anvil Chorus in my head all day. Not my
favorite Verdi tune.
