Question: Chocolate Resource

For the last two years I've purchased "Peter's Burgundy Semi-sweet
Chocolate Chunks" at KingArthurFlour.com for $12.95 in the 16 oz.
amount. Can anyone here lead me to a better-cost resource? I have
Google-searched to no avail, other than to buy it by the 50-pound
block and I need less than 5 lbs. per year.

Thanks for any help, Picky

Sheldon, once again you are my hero! I've just placed this order,
saving a good deal on both pricing, as well as on shipping to the left
side.

Thank you so much, JA&BB

So sorry to hear about the bird feeder you've enjoyed so much. Did
they leave it repairable, or did they completely carry it away? Maybe
you could mount it on or above a strong pole that can be touch-
electrified lightly during the night or when you're not near so as to
deter them?

For what use do you want to use the semi-sweet chocolate? For many
decades, my family has used the German Bakers semi-sweet chocolate to
make the chocolate ice-box cake (ref: RFC website for the recipe). As
with any recipe, its use makes the difference. Some recipes' success
depend on the quality of the chocolate while the brands of chocolate
won't matter for others. No matter what, it's still a subjective outcome ;)

The use is for a candy sort, in which Nestles or even a Garadelli(sp?)
chocolate will not suffice (according to me). The Burgundy, along
with bittersweet and unsweetened chocolate are for making "Chocolate
Dippers" which are cut into 1-inch chocolate squares and put on a
short sucker stick to either eat or to stir into a cup of hot milk.
Rather like a fudge without nuts, though made creamier.

The first time I was able to repair it. Two nights later it was
absolutely destroyed, shredded and flattened. I will need to rethink
bird feeders, I don't think they are feasible here in the spring when
the hibernators awaken. I will go back to my old method, tossing a
few handfuls of seed out my window a few times a day.
