Whew-eee! It's too much fer me.

I'll admit my lemoncello tastes great, but no mas! I used the 190
proof, remember? Even cutting it 2:1 with simple syrup, still kicks
like a freakin' mule. Waaay stronger than I remember buddy's homemade
lenoncello being. He musta used 150 everclear or 100 proof vodka.
Regardless, I can't do this anymore. My ol' geezer body has finally
had enough. I can do a few beers or a couple glasses of wine, but
no more hard stuff.

Just a drop in some cold iced tea or lemonade will hit the spot this
summer!

No need to drink it straight.

I love the flavor of Absinthe-- but have used it sparingly since my
first taste. I'll dip a stirrer in it and stir a glass of ice water.

I've got a really fine tasting George Stagg bourbon that is 142 proof.
When that's my sipping bourbon for the night [instead of my regular
80? proof Evan Wiliams], I just add some filtered water. Doesn't
hurt the flavor any, but I can still walk to bed.

Water is what the distilleries use to get the proof down. Give that a
try. Sounds good the way it is though, but in small doses.

I agree with you on this 100%!!! My Mom got some out of her freezer on
Xmas eve one year. I probably had 2-3-4 shots of it, but after
everything else...one of the worst hangovers I ever had!

Limoncello is best consumed in small quantities. I like to have a
shot glass after dinner on occasion. More than that is too much.
Ever see Danny Devito on the View after a night of drinking with
George Clooney? They were drinking Limoncello. Lots.

I wonder how a shot of lemoncello in a glass of iced fizzy water would
taste?

It tastes refreshing. Muddled mint leaves along with some ice are a plus.

Danny now has his own lemoncello brand.
