Your care package came today and *thank you* - you're so, so, sweet!
The recipe for coconut meringue pie on the package sounds really good,
so (I'd like to make it or at least record a recipe before the package
is used up.

Thanks again, and please let me know when there's anything I can do
for you!

You are so welcome. Stater Bros. is my local grocer and they stock
both the sweetened and unsweetened coconut right next to each other.
I bought two of the un-ones by mistake. Having used up one bag, I was
happy to send the other to you, and for free. As in I paid nothing
for the postage. I often leave a bit of fresh baked goods in the box
for my mail carrier and he took it upon himself to post to you. He is
such a quiet, nice man that well serves to my physical limitations
(being four sorts of arthritis) by either coming to the door or
leaving packages on a bench where they are easiest for me to carry
in.

Speaking of, I well remember the postman who delivered to our area
when I was a little girl. In the summers my mother would send me out
with a glass of iced tea for him and the two of us would sit together
under our big Elm tree while he enjoyed it. Back then postmen walked
their route, and there were bakery trucks and the Ice Man coming down
street, and the Fuller Brush man. Times sure have changed, hey!

Lordy Picky, we must be around the same age. I did all those things
too. Did the Jewel Tea man come around as well?

We may be near in age, I turned 67 two days ago. Yes, we not only had
the Jewel Tea man coming 'round, but I worked in their Anaheim CA
office handling the books for Los Angeles driver's route. On Fridays
the office had a "warehouse sale" wherein we could get substantial
discounts on everything they carried.

I certainly will put a note from you in the box tomorrow, along with
the small chocolate Bundt cake I plan to make for him tonight. I have
two sets of mini Bundt pans that make two each, and most any single
batter bakes three minis. With living alone, I just love those pans
because I can make three at a time that are the perfect size for me
not to get tired of, and to also be able to give the other two to my
direct neighbors that are two and three member households. Works
well, and no one gets tired of being Picky-gifted this way!

I'll be 66 in August. Did you get any of the dishes? My mother
loved those.
