I like that even better. I don't use it often. Usually, I'll eat 95% of my steak plain, then maybe use some sauce for the last bits....sometimes. Gary |

Once I was at what would have been a rubber chicken affair, some convention or some such, except that they had steak. And not very good steak. At one point a low-brow asked for a bottle of A1. The waiter brought a bottle. He put it on. The steak sucked anyway so I thought what they hell and tried some. It tasted better. Before you know it, everybody at the table had used it and could at least choke down some dinner. Someone proposed a toast the the stuff. I don't think I've every tried H57. |

I've had similar experiences but I happen to prefer Heinz 57. My wife happens to prefer A1. When the steak is very good like most times at home when I grill outside or my wife pan fries inside maybe salt maybe not even salt. I've had L&P and HP steak sauces. I happen to prefer both A1 ahd H57 to either. |

But I actually like the savory stuff in small doses--I put a little of it on steak fries. |

It's okay I just happen to like several other sauce brands better. > Real cooks don't use "steak sauce" out of a bottle. Straight from an episode of Chopped where a contestant chefs turns up a nose to one of the mystery ingredients, and proceeds to get eliminated in that round. ;^) |
