Sh-sh-shelley is outraged yet again.

Not one of your more inspired rants, O Brainless One. An observant person would focus on the preciousness of the site, or the absurdity of ordering handmade food from somebody in Hawaii when the ingredients are all available throughout the civilized world. You missed the boat on this one. Time to order some underpants and at least try to join the human race. |

Testicle butter? Mee is the first name of the owner of the site and business. She is a cross fit trainer, etc. I checked out the ingredients on the product and it sounds quite interesting. Interesting enough flavor combinations from the butters and seeds that I think it might be worth experimenting with. From what I understand, it took them quite a while to come up with just the right combination/ratio and types of nuts and seeds. |

We had a hard time finding cashew butter that is but it is out there. |

I've had and made butter from almonds, walnut, pecans and macadamia tree nuts. I've have butter made from flax and sunflower seeds. What's new is I haven't had combinations. Nice enough idea. Peanuts are peas aka legumes. In adidtion to peanuts I've had paste of other legumes. Chickpea paste is okay but much better when used as an ingredient in humus. Pinto beans are good as refried bean paste. I wonder how many other legmes would be good made into pastes. |

That is what intrigued me, the combinations of nuts and seeds. Definitely going to try an experiment. |

Hummus is a combination of legume paste from chick peas and seed butter from sesame tahini plus a little of this and that to vary it enough to be called the family recipe. So there's one such combination that is very good. There's a concept I found hilarious. Paleolithic eating is where if you can acquire a food with no technology more advanced than a sharp stick and you can eat it raw with no ill effects then feel free to eat it raw or cooked. The product is in a jar and made in a factory using metal grinding machines. Yet because the ingredients can be pulled off of trees and other plants the resulting product is paleolithic allowed. It's as funny to me as a box of Rice Chex being labelled "gluten free". Sure, so's my chicken and broccolli. |

The basic concept of the types of food that hunter gatherers ate being optimal for the human diet has not changed. They were not farmers. What has changed is the realization that in the 21st century, there's just too much variety available to continue to expect people to be really strict about that type of diet. My own primal eating involves leaving out grains, legumes, sugar and empty carbohydrates. I'm not opposed to some processing of primal foods but I stay away from GMO and buy organic as much as possible. Celiacs are happy that Rice Chex are gluten free. Since I don't eat grains I don't worry about it. |
