Default July 4th breakfast

Everyone in my house was treated to Spam, eggs, toasted English
muffins, and my John Phillips Sousa album.

Every July 4th I play it loudly so everyone can enjoy Stars and
Stripes Forever. No hiding, it is on the speaker both up and
downstairs.

LOL! Sounds like a great breakfast and I wish I could hear your JPS album.
I played in the school band in jr.high and high school and I remember so
many of them. Very upbeat music!

Ahh... a noble combination!

I played all his stuff on my Sousaphone in our middle school band.
Loved it! Even now, I'm listening to him on youtube. My faves are El
Capitan, Washington Post March, and King Cotton, but they're all great.

Here's about the best collection of patriotic marching songs on
youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ycrb_...feature=fvwrel

Over an hour long and some of the best arrangements I've heard. Also
includes JPS's lesser know marches and Edwin Eugene Bagley's excellent
march, National Emblem.

Enjoy =D

Got up late. Ate a slice of pizza from one of my favorite joints, driven
120 miles, then delivered to my house around noon.

I had fried rice with Farmer John chorizo-style pork sausage for
breakfast but no JPS marches. I'm gonna have chicken kiev for dinner so
maybe I should play some commie music. :-)

Spam? Is that a July 4th tradition there? Heck, it was more
appropriate than my saag paneer and dal.

I put my flag out, and played this...very loud! Haven't eaten yet.

Cool. Semi apropos, I have spent much of the last three days
starting to organize my ephemera collection--and in that
collection there is one (and only one) SPAM booklet. I do think I
got a history of SPAM when it was on a big sale. (Yeah, it's bad
when you only THINK that's the case.)

Yes, that's the one I just got. I know there is at least one
other book.
