Default Grlll pan: if you have one, how often do you use it?++

And for what? I'm torn between getting one - - I still use my Foreman
tho. A friend said she likes the grill pan for fish - keeps it high
and dry.

To me that's almost sad. I want my fish cooking at a
nice medium-high heat and basting in butter. When it
emerges from the pan it should be butter-moist and
crisp-skinned. Definitely not dry.

I'm using mine more and more, don't own a George Forman type and
probably never will. I roasted ears of corn for a corn salad and
grilled vegetables for pizza on it in the last few days... but I've
never used it to cook fish.

I stopped using my grill pan when we got an electric grill, a Cuisinart
not a George Foreman.

Not sure but I don't think I could use one with a ceramic-glass cooktop.
I used to want one because on the FN cooking shows I see them use them
a lot.

I have a heavy cast iron grill pan that I use several times a week.
Love it.

If moisture is accumulating it's only due to lack of heat... moisture
will accumulate equally in a grill pan when the heat is too low.

The only thing those grill pans do that a regular pan doesn't do is
add grill marks... pretty dumb reason to use one, especially since
they are such pain to clean.
