She did a nice job today. She was on at noon till half past I
believe.
1. Hamburgers; mixed with egg, bread crumb and sauteed onions; pan
fried. topped with guac; smashed avos, parsley
topped with back bacon.
2. Cheese balls...very tick bechamel with chives; toss in favourite
cheese, roll into balls, dip into seasoned flour, into egg wash, into
bread crumb mix, deep fry, and serve with onion marmalade or some
such.
3. Chick wings. Sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, mix up, bake off in
oven, cover with sesame seeds, serve....

What's the name of the show? You're in Canada, so we might not have
it. Joanne Weir was on at noon here and she lives in San Francisco.
Her show today (as per KQED) was "Broccolini with hot pepper and white
balsamic; crispy chicken and potatoes with mustard, rosemary and
capers; fresh cherries with Zinfandel zabaglione".

Reminds me of another show with that guy? He made something with meat.
It looked good.

I don't know the name of her show. The PBS station she was on
broadcasts out of Buffalo.

I believe he is referring to this:

http://www.pbs.org/food/

"Rachel's Favorite Food at Home"...some really great recipes that I am going
to try.

PBS has some really interesting shows.

What PBS buys to show in different markets varies from area to area.
Like, my local PBS doesn't carry the same shows as what PBS in New
York might carry. So talking about what time a show is on is
useless. I've never heard of this show.

The main exception to this is "createtv" which is carried as a
subchannel. Stations just run the national feed so everyone gets the
same content.

Aha, thanks! Hadn't heard of that one and don't see it in our
alphabetical list of programs.

I'm glad PBS programs have web sites now. It's still not as easy
finding recipes as it is with the FN and Cooking channels, but it's
certainly getting better. I may even start watching PBS cooking shows
again. I stopped because it was too frustrating. The days of me
being willing to sit in front of the television taking notes are long
over. I want to be able to go to a web site quickly, copy the recipe,
annotate it if necessary and save to file without needing to reformat.
Food Network and later, Cooking, let me do that when PBS was still
stuck in the past.
