Default What you should do with a 17lb lobster

Toss him back in the ocean.

I've eaten 3 pounders twice-- I like the 1 1/2 pounders a whole lot
more.

Good on the guy who 'rescued' this lobster from the kitchen and
returned him to the ocean.

If you like lobster, you should appreciate that the nasty old ones are
harvested. That leaves more food for more young 'uns.

NO ! It's these big strong older guys who are keeping the population
going. Leave the big ones to breed.

I don't know what makes you think the elderly will breed more than the
adolescents, and throwing him back is selecting for the evolution of a breed
that can avoid traps.
