He's not trying to sell many. If you read the description you'll see
that it's a hand-made one-off (and by "hand made" I mean he started with
iron ore and first made the steel, by hand) prototype.

I'm reminded of a Jack-in-the-Box commercial from
2 or 3 years ago. I believe it involved someone
offering to test chicken nuggets for some absurdly
high price, Jack asks whether he gets any takers
for that offer, and the guy says he only needs one.
