I missed that completely, I thought you'd been charged.

I think most people who replied realized 25 line items on my shopping
list had been duplicated in the shipment but not on the bill. I
apologize if I didn't make that clearer. It's not really important
anymore. LOL This thread is getting really messed up with incorrect
attributions, people not reading it right, etc. Not you, I'm not naming
names and now I just want it to die. I'm still grumpy from the pain and
meds. I think the leg pain is the worst, over the back pain.
Neuropathic pain. I've had to resort to doing my own reading about it
so I can talk to the doctor on Monday.

Yes, it really screws things up if your cat's beloved food is
discontinued. And when they change it, it can upset the cat or
turn the cat against it. My daughter now says, when we see
something that is new and improved, that yeah, it
improves/increases folks' incomes.

That's nice of you. Yes, pets mean so much to people, it must be
awful to feel you have to choose between having and loving a
critter and other necessities.

I have heard Fancy Feast referred to as "feline crack" before. I
forget whether the King of the household deigned to eat it. I
probably tried just about everything when he was sick or when he
would stop eating for a while.

Meat is one thing I rarely ever buy in bulk. Only if I happen to be at
Costco and happen to need meat. I don't like to freeze meat. Exception
being cooked hamburger or perhaps a few cooked chicken breasts. That sort
of stuff is handy to keep around.

Mostly what I do buy in bulk is canned foods and of course only when I get a
super good price on them. Recently my daughter found some little cans of
Rotel seasoned tomato sauce for 14 cent a can. I wasn't sure we would like
them so I only bought 4 cans. It made excellent Spanish rice. So I went
back to get more. And luckily there was more. I think we bought 10 more
cans.

I like to keep extra canned food during the winter. I also like to keep
extra dried beans and rice. And plenty of pasta. We have switched to
eating whole wheat pasta and Costco had whole wheat spaghetti. So I bought
some. It was a large package consisting of many smaller packages. It's
very good stuff and cheaper to buy it that way than at the regular grocery
store.

I do buy some frozen stuff at Costco or Winco in a very large package. But
I have to be careful what I buy. When there are just the two of us here, it
can take a very long time to eat such a package of stuff up. I once made
the mistake of buying those chicken nuggets that look like Mickey Mouse. I
had been told that they were very good. I didn't like them. Eventually my
husband ate them.

What I don't understand is why people buy things in bulk that frequently go
on sale. When I was a kid, the local mark it yourself store would put bread
on sale. It was either 4/$1.00 or 3/$1.00. I can't remember which. But it
seemed to almost always be on sale for that price. My parents would buy it
and store it in the freezer. Since we rarely ever ate bread, that made no
sense to me.

I also don't understand those people on the Extreme Couponing show.
Hundreds of packages of pasta or chips. Hundreds of bottles of lotion or
containers of deodorant. Those things do go bad! It doesn't make sense to
stockpile things that you'll just have to throw out.

Walgreens. I only happened to figure that out when I was ordering something
fairly recently and saw a Walgreen's brand item for sale. I was like...
Uh... So I had posted something about it on a forum and a person who is
always up on all things retail sent me a link that explained when they
bought it out a few years ago. They didn't make a big deal about it and
didn't publicly announce it. I had been wondering though because you can
also shop at Walgreen's.com and Riteaid.com. Used to be when it was
Riteaid, the two sites were somehow linked and had the same prices. But now
that is not the case. One of the sites had a much better price on the item
I needed to buy.

I almost always hate it when they improve anything be it a food or a health
or beauty item. Once in a rare great while there will be an actual
improvement. Usually not. The worst thing I can think of is when they
added calcium to Tab. They changed that back in about two weeks. Stuff was
horrid! Now they messed it up by putting Aspartame. Why? We already have
diet Coke. Some of us actually liked that bitter aftertaste.

I wish I had never gotten them started on it. But I had a few packages
leftover from when Maui was alive and I didn't want it to go to waste. I
had been given a few cans of a turkey flavor of premium food. I think it
was the Wellness brand. The lady at Purrfect pals said that was what they
had been eating but only for dinner. Oddly enough the store where I got
them from didn't carry that flavor. So I bought a few cans of each flavor
they did have. They would only eat maybe a few bites but they wouldn't even
touch the herring. Then I tracked down the turkey. They didn't like that
either.

Then the quest began. I finally determined that they liked tuna but only
the certain kinds. And I couldn't pin it down to a particular texture or
cut or whatever.

Before I got them they were used to eating dinner of moist food and then
having a bowl of cereal for the rest of the time. But I then made two
mistakes. Giving them the Appetizers for breakfast and then some treats
when I have my midnight snack. I don't normally eat lunch so that was never
an issue. But now they seem to want their food at our meal times. And they
can tell if it is midnight. If I am 5 minutes late on giving them their
treats, I hear about it!

Their cereal feeder and moist food bowls are here in the family room on a
little vinyl floor covered area. Why that is there I do not know. This
room is carpeted but two little areas have the same vinyl floor as in the
kitchen. Their fountain is near the food. I feed them the treats in the
kitchen and they have little dishes in there.

On Friday we brought home some of their favorite treats. We were unable to
get very many for a while and had to get other brands. They became very
excited when they saw them coming out of the bag and went to their bowls
even though it wasn't midnight. They looked very sad that they didn't get
any. But then they were happy again when they got dinner.

I don't use it very often - but when I do it's to buy something I
can't find locally and I don't comparison shop.

Ming used to like Wellness, but then their product became
variable, or maybe I should say even MORE variable. I get their
Core sometimes. Well, that may be in the past, because I was
eying cat food at a store I don't get to extremely often, and the
price had skyrocketed. Now it's $2 for a 5.5-ounce can.

It sounds like they provide much amusement... and some
frustration. Cats!

No it's not. Some people might believe so. It's not a wide belief by any
means!
