Has anyone seen this one? The kid walks in on his
parents and ... I guess having Ragu will make you feel
better after the shock?

So strange it's funny.

My first impression was that someone was actually spending money to air
a commercial that totally left you in the dark as to what their point
might be.

It was on a few times before I paid any attention to it,
wondering why the kid has that expression on his face.

Then it was disbelief and maybe I'm still confused about
the Ragu connection. Okay, I guess it's someone's comfort
food.

You mean Dubya didn't send in the grief counsellors? Pretty tame
compared to this one:

Moral of the story: buy quickie Ragu and have more time for yer OWN pre-dinner quickie?
Note the smiling husband as he digs into the Ragu. She could prob. feed him Purina Dog Chow after THAT little session.

Wait ... I'm thinking that's the husband and he's just
smiling like Yay, Ragu for dinner and the kid looks weirded
out because that wasn't Dad he saw earlier.

Strange is right! They leave it up to the imagination but it doesn't
really lead to having a spaghetti dinner making him feel better about
it. Creepy. lol

Same here. I don't care to try to figure out how to sign in to Google.
It's been a while.

I have not seen that Ragu commercial. It looks pretty silly.

And you know they probably had some focus group telling them this was a
nifty commercial. Sure go for it!

Not to mention, the kid had to cook his own dinner because his mom and
dad (or whoever that guy was! heheh) were "busy"

(laugh) The ad just leaves it up to me to explain, why not
come up with a story with a dark twist.

Reminds me of a scene in 'Married, With Children' where Peggy Bundy comes
in with a shopping bag that the kids immediately start digging into.
First they pull out a bottle of scented massage oil. Then they pull out
a box of bon-bons. They start to smirk, until the next thing they pull
out is a package of batteries...

Perfect! And imagine how much more Ragu they would have sold.

OK - NEW moral: stop making yer own sauce and have time for a fling on the side. I wonder if the Ragu folks are gonna get fallout from this ad.

I guess the kid got outta school or practice early. Careless, careless, Mom. Didn't teach the kid to knock first. lol

What? You don't like all those (Worthless) "Housewives of..." shows? Or
"Millionaire MatchMaker?" What's wrong with you? ;-D

I just saw the Ragu ad this week and all I can say is that it gave me a
hell of a chuckle.

Why didn't I see this post, I sure don't have Dimitri killfiled!

But really, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall at that
meeting. What concepts did they turn down?
