:-)) I have no idea who 'Melissa' might be, but I really laughed when I saw
your response sf.

Not knowing who 'Meliisa' is, your comment brought to mind a cooking show
about diet food. I'd find that excessively tedious.

It's not really diet foods, more like healthy food with a segment on
exercise (done by someone else). Can't tell you much about the show
because I switch channels if it comes on while I'm watching.

Thanks sf I appreciate the link. I finally found out from her site what
'granola' is. I'd call it 'toasted Muesli'. Now I can look on US sites for
Muesli based recipes now I have the USian name.

$10 seems to be a popular starting point as we have a similar thing here
with a 'celeb' chef who works in conjunction with a grocery chain:

Yes, I used one.

NP! I've only had the European style muesli, so I think our granola
is a bit sweeter and clumpier, but they are very similar. Here is a
recipe for you (it's an image scanned from a cookbook)... you'll
probably need to find a substitute for the maple syrup, like maybe
agave, treacle/golden syrup or more honey. I'm not fond of maple
flavor on anything except pancakes/waffles/french toast but I didn't
think it was enough to be distracting, so you won't miss a huge flavor
component if you do substitute. http://oi50.tinypic.com/nd75na.jpg

Sorry sf, I should have been more specific. I don't want to make granola
either plain or toasted but we have a thing here called 'Muesli bars' that
I'm sure would have started their domestic and commercial life in the US
before reaching our shores. That the sort of 'granola based' recipe I'm
interested in and i"ve now found recipes for granol bars so am well pleased.
But thanks for posting the recipe it was very kind of you to do so.
