Well the only actual food bank site that I went to was the Maltby one which is the one that serves this area. They did not say one way or the other. There was only a list of what they currently need and oddly enough most it wasn't even food. I did think about asking them but I also didn't want them to think I was the kind of person who just might send them some expired food. So I restrained myself. I just did a general search and came up with a lot of conflicting information. |

Where we live, there is a bakery that makes bread, rolls, buns, powdered sugar, chocolate and cinnamon donuts, tarts, fried pies, cakes, cinnamon rolls. They have outlet stores, then the product goes to pig farmers. I love their 7-Grain Bread. Becca |

You have probably made a rum cake, fruit cake, or a different type of cake, that used a hot glaze after the cake was baked, that is probably what they did to this donut. Sounds good. Becca |

NY road kill has gone to public 'homes' of various descriptions for as long as I can remember. I must say, though- that's the first I've seen that hunters could donate game. It seems like a bad idea for all the reasons Steve says- not to mention the old saw that says 'you hunt what you [and your family] can eat'. But-- NY's deer herd needs some serious thinning and if deer harvesters can feed the hungry, it works for me. Jim |

The western wildfires have burned off so much natural food that the animals are already beginning to come down into areas that will put them in conflict with people. Janet US |
