He's a super sniffer, I haven't noticed him being a super taster though. If he is, either it doesn't bother me or he doesn't make enough negative comments to drive me up the wall. He comments about phantom odors and complains about how overpowering ordinary pleasant smells are. -- Food is an important part of a balanced diet. |

It's just the two of now, but I probably fill the trays every other day. We go through a lot of ice. Tracy |

He's more of a whiskey, bourbon, mezcal cocktail aficionado. One of my favorites he makes is the Aviation which is a gin drink. Another is called the Paper Plane. I don't remember what is in it except Amaro Nonino. Oh, and he makes a nice Negroni, but not the regular way and another favorite is the New York Sour. See why I need a lot of ice? Tracy |

Yeah: Everything gets shaken and the ice goes in the sink. |

Starting about 5 years ago I got the bartender bug and was having fun playing with bitters. I use to go to the most well-stocked store in the area and find there was 4 or 5 different kinds. In the end I bought a series of Fee Bros. bitters through Amazon. A couple of weeks ago I went to the same well-stocked store and there was 15 or 20 bitters of every conceivable variety It's clearly a boom market. |

Even the dollar store sells them in a pack of 3. They are so cheap anywhere, I'd say just try some as you see them then decide what you like. G. |

I'd say look for the same thing on Amazon and see which ones people consider the best on the planet. Still just as cheap. |

I used to do the same when my daughter lived with me...4 trays going plus a bin. Now that it's just me, I use 2 trays and no bin. I rarely use ice myself, most all is to cool down the ferrets water which I change twice a day. They also get the Britta filtered water whereas I just drink plain ol' city water most of the time. I don't have any issues with it. G. |

Polly Our Whirlpool side-by-side is about 16 years old, and the ice maker never gave us a problem until about 5 months ago - it stopped working. George found the part on the internet and repaired it. All I drink is ice water, so I missed the ice and water dispenser. Becca |

Still just as cheap. I think this is going to be my route. The link ImStillMags gave is for a flexible tray but I need a firmer one. I empty my ice cubes by the tray into an open container in the freezer. We go through a lot of ice here, in part because I give music lessons at home for living and I always offer everyone a glass of ice water, which many take me up on. (The grown-ups get offered espresso!) -S- |

They look identical to the one's that recently cracked, but I recall the cracked one's were some no-name brand, 2fer a dollar. I'll get back to y'all if the rubbies crack in a year or so. ![]() nb -- Definition of objectivism: "Eff you! I got mine." http://www.nongmoproject.org/ |
