Default update on the tomato/squirrel war

Many tomatoes coming in... Squirrels vanquished... vinegar soaked socks on
the perimeter, holding back the horde.

Hearty, fruity tomatoes... None very good looking... All taste great...
Yum.

Vinegar-soaked socks? Please tell me more - upright on sticks of some
sort? How often to resoak? Plain old vinegar?

pellet gun then fried squirrel in gravy. yum.
Kill em all and you might even get a nifty fur coat out of the deal.

yes, vinegar soaked old socks. They have to be used, old socks. And put on
stakes, like scare crows. Scare socks... The back of the Kroger vinegar
bottle has all the details. Good for 7-10 days. Though if it rains then I
re-soak... I got 4 bright shiny red ones this morning. I gave 2 to the
ex.... In your face squirrels!

The Kroger bottle says works for any animals, if you put around the
perimeter. Not sure how much you can trust the back of a Kroger bottle, but
it seems to have made the difference in my battle with the squirrels.

Not sure I should do a victory dance yet. But I've gotten about 8 decent
lush tomatoes in the last two weeks.

Can't kill em in the city.

God, there about a thousand just within a few blocks of me... It rained
yesterday, I better go re-load the socks.

Please consider your actions beforehand in all cases. You can
chase the deer from your tomatoes, fine - but to where exactly will it
be chased? To a field filled with autumn hunters. Or a highway
crowded with cars? Or perhaps into the path of an innocent family out
looking for a pleasant day's drive in the country? You. You could be
the one responsible for causing not only the panic-stricken deer to
die on impact, but also for the lives of every last innocent person in
that car. Leave well enough alone.

For the love of God, please

They should be sued for making false claims. Anybody who's been
around knows that the Madagascar Vinegar-Sucking Tomato Rat is totally
immune to the stuff. Let's hope for your sake they don't make their
way into your neck of the woods. Like Gary said, let the squirrels
eat the tomatoes, then kill the squirrels and eat them. If you're a
vegetarian, use their dead bodies to fertilize an indoor vegetable
garden.
