How do you know when to pick it? Got one about 6 inches, dark purple. This
year staked it so worms didn't crawl in. |

Size has little to do with eggplant ripeness unless you know which variety... there are many varieties of eggplant, many different sizes/shapes... read the seed packet. But usually one can tell ripeness by feel, should be firm but give a bit when pressed with a finger but should spring right back... like nubile bosoms. |
