What can I do to salvage and/or ripen this cut open papaya? I hate to toss it. I guess I was too eager to cut it up and not too savvy on determining ripeness. I like it almost soft - for smoothies. I tossed some in the blender for a smoothie, but it didn't exactly pulverize it.
Any suggs? Thanks. |

That stuff is probably good for the digestion and has been used to tenderize tough meats due to it's high amounts of enzyme papain. It would probably be wise to stay away from green papaya during pregnancy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtrFttCItDw > > -- > Jim Silverton (Potomac, MD) > > Extraneous "not" in Reply To. |
