Default Papaya - not ripe enough, but I tried to cut it up-- HELP

What can I do to salvage and/or ripen this cut open papaya? I hate to toss it. I guess I was too eager to cut it up and not too savvy on determining ripeness. I like it almost soft - for smoothies. I tossed some in the blender for a smoothie, but it didn't exactly pulverize it.

Any suggs? Thanks.

Shredded, unripe papaya is a component of Thai salads and is good. I
haven't got a recipe but I've had it often enough in restaurants.

Do you customarily describe tasteless, bitter roughage as "good"?

Green papaya salad is popular here although I'm not a big fan. That
stuff is probably good for the digestion and has been used to
tenderize tough meats due to it's high amounts of enzyme papain. It
would probably be wise to stay away from green papaya during
pregnancy.
