Yes I am pinging you again. This time about your rice. I just got the book
entitled 366 Delicious Rice, Beans and Grains by Andrea Chesman.

In it she says that the way to get a really fluffy white rice is to rinse it
well before cooking. Put it in a colander and run water over it, stirring
it until the water runs clear. She also went on to say that she didn't
personally like to do this because she felt the flavor suffered. But she
also added that when some people do this, they add extra seasonings to make
up for the missing flavor. She did also say that if you are using a rice
that is enhanced with vitamins (which yours is likely not) you will of
course be rinsing those vitamins away.

BTW, I do recommend the book. I haven't tried any of the recipes in it but
almost all of them look very good. To me anyway. But then I am a bean
addict.
