With a samurai sword.
http://www.fox19.com/story/19899955/...ood-restaurant Has anybody else noticed that the media seems to be shying away from reporting that a suspect IS _BLACK_. They'll report that an assailant is White or hispanic (or latino), but they'll rarely say if they're black anymore. Is it because they figure we're just to automatically assume that they're black unless it's otherwise noted? Or is because they'll call the media outlets racist for always featuring stories about black people committing crimes? |

They're not really expending much effort catching the guy because in that neighborhood, they figure the money will end up back in the Church's Chicken till sooner or later anyway. |

He probably spent some of the loot at another Church's Chicken, and its at least even money that before the end of the week he'll get caught when an employee recognizes him when he tries to spend some more of it in the same Church's Chicken he robbed because he got tired of driving all the way out to the other Church's Chicken. |

McDonald's fries were never the same after they switched from beef fat. Beef flavoring just isn't the same. -- I take life with a grain of salt, a slice of lemon and a shot of tequila |

Their appeal is cheaper prices and larger pieces than the better chains. Only a really stupid person would prefer that their chicken were fried in trans fat, or their French fries in tallow. --Bryan |

I don't think they have it in their fryers like Church's, but White Castle has lots of trans fatty items. --Bryan |

(snipped cross posting) Dude, this is TELEVISION, a visual medium. Most people would play the video, to see what had happened. Why explain the obvious? Not that I really care, but a samurai sword, really? That's the weapon of choice for robbers these days? Does he intend to cut up a chicken with it afterwards? ![]() Jill |

I remember when some states made it illegal for newspapers to expose a suspect's race. In answer to your second question, I think it's because it gives the reporters more fun in trying to expose the person's race without being allowed to say it. They have to resort to trickery. Some call it journalism. For example, the suspect's name might be Robert Jones (could be anybody), but the reporters go out of their way to write that when he left home he told everyone he was on his way to his sister Tamiqua's place to spend the night and listen to some new hip hop CDs he just bought. Bad example from me there, but you get the idea. Personally, the black/white thing bores me - but I'll jump in just for old time's sake when I tended to look at things in a black and white way. No more. Now I am wise beyond my years and getting wiser all the time. Kill me soon before I explode. TJ |
