I put some red pepper on my white-mushroom pizza.
I think the red pepper was a little too veggy, or fruity, for my meaty mushrooms. Is black pepper better for accentuating the meaty-ness of mushrooms? W. Pooh (AKA Winnie P.) |

Pooh (AKA Winnie P.) I'm a little confused. By red pepper... Do you mean bell pepper? Hot pepper? Peppercorns? By black pepper do you mean peppercorns? It's all a moot point to me anyway because I don't like mushrooms on pizza. |

They also sell the sweet California paprika. W. Pooh (AKA Winnie P.) |

I was using black pepper the other day; and about a half minute after grinding the pepper, I sneezed the biggest sneeze of my life... I thought that when they blow pepper in someone's face in cartoons it was just a myth, but apparently it's true! |

I never liked them, I find them intrusive. To each their own. I have come here asking questions and I will do it again, so never will I laugh at someone for asking a question - BUT - I think that with trial and error and sufficient time a true mushroom lover should be able to determine which seasoning if any might best serve their precious blooming fungi. Eat 'em raw, cook 'em too - then pepper 'em up and start to chew Was that pepper black or was it red? By God I'll find out before I am dead TJ |
