Sorry but lasagna recipes are not allowed here and in fact none exist.

Does the one on the box not work for you? I don't really use a recipe. I
don't like meat in mine. I generally use Ricotta cheese but cottage cheese
will work if you don't have that. Also whatever other Italian cheese that I
have in the house. I usually mix some spinach in with my cheese and I add a
layer of sauteed zucchini, onions and peppers. I always cook my pasta
first.

Start with a layer of red sauce, then the patsa, then the ricotta, then your
other cheese. Repeat and end with sauce and other cheese.

Bake it through till hot and bubbly. To keep your ricotta more firm, add a
beaten egg to it.

Have you tried the recipe on the package of lasagna noodles? That's a
good place to start. Vary it the next time according to your taste.

I've never *ever* eaten ziti.

ziti however is all the rage here

Then it wouldn't be lasagna

Nope. Never even been in the same room with it. I know what penne
is, no clue about ziti other than it's macaroni.

I suppose one could make lasagna from many pasta shapes... the thing I
find silly is to title this thread "Italian Lasagna"... what other
ethnicity would be lasagna, Irish lasagna?

"Italian" says nothing: in marhce there are vincosgrassi, the father of
lasagne, then lasagne alla bolognese madi with meat ragu' and bechamel, then
southern style lasagne made with tomato sauce and mozzarella, then there's a
million of variants coming from everywhere in Italy and not only: lasagne la
pesto from Liguria, lasagne al pesce from many parts of Italy, mushroom
lasagne...
Which lasagne did you have in mind?

Exactly, if one is not using flat layers of pasta (lasagne) it is just
"pasta al forno"

I'm wondering about 'can't find a good recipe.' What makes it a good
recipe for the OP? Or a bad one for that matter? Is the OP winging
it? What has the OP tried? Has the OP ever made lasagna at all?
There are recipes for lasagna all over the place -- as others have
pointed out, the box is a good place to start.

Excellent question! Hmmm, Irish lasagna. Might involve potatoes rather
than pasta...

Obviously the OP is a troll. Okay, I haven't asked this in a while, but is
school out for the holidays? LOL for the OP I recommend a can of Chef
Boyardee and a shaker of Kraft grated cheese

Irish nachos? Never heard of that. Do you have a general recipe? Not
exact but just to imagine them.

Green 'em up with guacamole, lettuce, moldy cheese, etc. Presto --

Why do you post? I'm being serious. Your input is just...nothing. You're just a big fat blob of boring. Go eat a taco, chubs.
