I like bourbon so that's what we use - we buy vanilla beans in quantity on ebay, thrown them into a bottle of Jim Beam, and let it sit. Once we start using it, we still leave the vanilla beans in there. When we've used all the liquid in the bottle, we shake out the vanilla beans, grind them up, and use them in vanilla ice cream or some other thing in the kitchen. -S- |
