made an avocado, pb, veggie dog (Yves), on ww... no sure avocado and pb go
together, but the avocado was turning brown on top so threw a couple
spoonfuls on it.

reminds me, I once asked a guy behind the counter at Kroger deli: "Do you
know how to keep a cut avocado fresh?" He said: "I've heard if you keep
the pit in then it stays fresh. Has something to do with the pheromones."

I've often imagined avocado and raw pistachios, and I just bought some
raw pistachios yesterday.

me too. Kept passing them in the grocery. They would call to me from the
middle of the aisle with their siren song (and sale price) but I would look
at the package and see all the fat grams and put them back... But I was in
Walgreens the other days (looking for a stick blender) and happened upon a
single serving bag. Only 99cents. So I got one of those.

The fat in avocados is GOOD FOR YOU. People who count fat grams
really should remove ther heads from...well, you know where. An
avocado a day keeps the cardiologist away.

yes, but it's fat. And I am and need to cut down... Hoping the seasonal
U*PS driver helper monkey job makes me lose a few pounds. The interviewer
mentioned the helper monkeys often do most the deliveries/

pistachio fat is the good fat too, but I need to cut back on any fat-- even
the good fat... I used to have a cousin that would ask for the fat people
cut off their steaks... In later life he had that lap band surgery. My
sister is thinking of doing, but it sounds like there are a lot of
ramifications to it. Many people have severe GI problems. But I guess that
is better than keeling over from a heart attack.

Try avocado, tomato and onion with a hot Italian sausage (and a little
mustard) in a bun of your choice.

Also spraying or wiping the cut sides of the avocado with fresh lemon
juice keeps even pit-less ones from blackening.
