You are a fool. Soda pop goes bad much more quickly if
unrefrigerated.

It also tastes better when it's cold. Sure you can add ice but when
you pour warm soda over ice it melts and dilutes it.

I've never refrigerated ketchup or mustard. The vinegar and/or the
sugar keeps them from going bad.

Not kidding. It's shelf-stable, and I knew it would cause an uproar :-)
It tastes better cold, but it won't spoil at room temp.

Homemade mayo has raw eggs in it.

Yes it does. It also has vinegar or lemon juice in it.

I've never had red wine or balsamic mayo before.

Should I bother to make them, or is it not worth it?

Yessss!!!! That is the way I prefer my soda. Takes away the sickening
sweetness most have. I fill a 16 oz. mug with ice and pour in the
soda.

Oh I spoke too soon. There he is!

Although you don't have to refrigerate soda pop, I wouldn't want to drink it
at room temp.

There are all sorts of things that don't require refrigeration but making a
list of them seems silly.

They say to refrigerate after opening just to cover their butts, but
as far as food safety goes, they don't have to be. The only reason I
would refrigerate ketchup is if I rarely used it. All foods except
for honey eventually go bad if left out but a bottle of ketchup has to
be left out for a very long time before it shows any sign of
deterioration.

I agree. Most of us have figured those things out by now. Either that
or we would have after a case of food poisoning.

I don't drink soda pop but I remember my mother used to order Green Spot
bottled orange soda and occasionaly Nehi Grape when we lived in Bangkok.
It beat drinking water from a huge filtered crock to which my dad
added a few (very few) drops of Clorox to kill the nasties. (The maids
thought my parents were crazy but they were used to drinking the water.)
That's the only time in my life we ever drank soda pop. Eventually
they got one of those coolers like you see in some offices with the big
jugs of water. Yay! No more clorox water!

I never did acquire a taste for soda pop. I'll have an occasional glass
of ginger ale but that's only a couple of times a year.

I keep a lot of things in my refrigerator that don't need to be
refrigerated. I refrigerate them because it extends the period they
stay usable for me... like herbs & spices and condiments like mustard
and ketchup.

Not silly around holiday time, when you're running out of fridge space.

But you wouldn't have that problem, since you have half a dozen
refrigerators, refrigerator mama.

I'd fill a tall glass with ice. Less meltage.

Tabasco sauces
peanut butter
oils
vinegars
sugar, granulated and powdered
baking powder and soda
cornstarch
cocoa powder
salt
Worcestershire sauce ( at least I don't )
Fish sauce
liquid smoke
pastas, rice, quinoa etc

I'd prob. add to the list, but am too lazy to march myself to the kitchen and inspect cupboards.

I recommend refrigerating nut oils, such as walnut oil.

Yeah. You wouldn't want the oil to emulsify in the fridge. Well, I wouldn't.

I keep brown sugar in the fridge sometimes (in a zipper bag).

Sesame oil too. Don't want that to go bad. Have to smell it.
