Wow - greased lightning speed on that retrieval. How DID you ever do it?

What can I offer in return? My talents lie in other fields other than cooking. I'm REALLY good at holding a purring cat, and recognizing Rembrandts.

Well......... thanks for that Gary.

It just shows the extremes.

A lot of bird, no setting, for one person v a lot of setting, a little
bird for one person.

Sad.

I hope they find people to share it with in the near future.

What is sad is that you have no clue that being alone doesn't
automatically make you lonely.

Some of the loneliest times in my life were when I was surrounded by
people. There were other times in my life when I felt entirely
"connected"... yet I was the only person there.

Do what is right for you... but try not to judge others by your own
narrow standards.

Good job on tying up the bird's legs, Shells. You don't want to risk
it running away before it's cooked!

I've always been a "loner" type personality. I don't need other people
around to entertain me. Even these days, I'm out and interacting with
people all day at work. When I get home, I prefer to be alone (except for
contacting friends via email or ngs).

I also had my Thanksgiving meal alone this year. It was a nice and peaceful
meal. I was not lonely at all.

What's really sad and norrow minded is to assume I eat alone... I just
didn't want to photograph my table set for five with paper plates.

It really isn't your place to judge whether or not I have company for
dinner nor how I set the table. There was nothing sad about it. I
enjoyed using my mom's china and raising a glass in a toast to her life.

What's sad is you take a picture of and post photos of every little
thing you eat, as if anyone really cares. Late Night Snack.... really?!
Gee, if I get a glass of ice water at 2AM should I photograph it and
post a link to it here?

Please, Jill, not if there is only *one* glass. I can't take the
sadness.<BG>

For 25 years my favorite times were the week or two each year my
family went on vacation and I was 'home alone'. I love them-- but
I love peace and solitude, too.

The sad ones here are those who judge while knowing nothing.

BTW, moron... Late Night Snack *was* about food..... something you

What is it you hope to achieve with these mindless posts? There are plenty of borderline-retards on here, yet I'm compelled to reply to you mostly, because you just mindlessly chime in so often. What is it you're trying to say beyond, Drrrg! Uh, Drrrg. Drrrrrrrrg.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

I don't eat at *anyones* house that has a cat inside. Come to think of
it, I don't eat at anyones house that has an inside dog, either.

If I want cat/dog hair with my food, I'll go chew a cat/dog.

Boy howdy!

After I retired, I practically became a hermit. I'd go for days w/o
leaving my home, yet was still cyber connected via usenet, irc, email,
etc, phone. I even went totally gone and cut rfc off for 1 yr and
bought an answering machine. After I'd satiated myself in aloneness,
I eventually grew out of it and reconnected with the live outside
world, even making the occasional stroll down to our local pub. I
recall being married and appreciating the fact my ex slept in and I
could be alone for the first hour of the day or loving the solitude of
commuting. I hated mechanical drudgery of commuting, but loved having
that alone time.

I'm actually a very social person and have no problem fitting in, but
I can fully appreciate being all by myself. It's actually quite a
luxury, one most ppl cannot afford. If you can experience it,
appreciate the heck out of it while you can, as you don't know how
long it will last.

Like now. I get about 8 hrs of alone time per year. Good thing I
soaked up so much of it when I could.

I don't have narrow standards, and it is a well known fact that loneliness
is a significabnt factor in one, or even both, their lives.

If you got your head out of your ass long enough, you'd have seen in my

TGD with.

But you seem to have a problem getting your head out of your ass, don't
you?
