I think the key is buying it loose, like in tubs that are not squished like
in the bags and have too much moisture... I used to buy the plastic bags but it would go bad in 2-4 days. In the the big tubs, hardly any goes bad. I think because it's packed looser and less moisture... I've bought a couple tubs that were marked down because near the expiration date, and they have lasted days longer-- streets ahead-- of the bagged spinach that had a use by date a week later. btw, UPS kinda sucks... Having a 21" step (on the older trucks) from the ground is killer on knees, especially when stepping down, 150 or so times in a few hours. |

I use it in my green smoothies and in salads, omelettes, soups, etc. I haven't had any go bad. I love the convenience of always having fresh spinach around. |

I buy those huge bags of frozen spinach, it costs a lot less than smaller bags and especially those small boxes. I sometimes would buy those bags of baby spinach for salad but I really don't like any of that bagged salad stuff, they have a very short shelf life and none are properly cleaned. Why are you using fresh spinach for smoothies, it makes more sense to use frozen. |

I've never seen it other than in grocery stores... Odd, I never have seen spinach in the wild or growing. What does it look like? I tried to grow some leaf lettuce, but it was kinda bitter... My dad grew some leaf lettuce years ago back in PA, it almost melted in my mouth. Best lettuce I ever tasted. |

It grows to about mid calf height. It prefers cooler weather so here, it's a plant for late winter/early Spring - it hates really hot weather. Lettuce has to be grown quickly so it doesn't get bitter or tough so it needs to be well watered and well fed. |

Sometimes, there is a Santa Helper or two; but I never see even one Mrs. Claus. If there is only one Mrs. Claus and all these Santas, is she a polandryist? |
