I just discovered today, while looking in the online OED for something
else, that Canadians have a word for in-sink garbage disposers and I quote: Garburator Chiefly Canad. A type of waste-disposal unit installed beneath a sink, designed to shred or grind waste into small pieces which can pass through household plumbing. The form Garberator is a proprietary name in Canada. -- Jim Silverton (Potomac, MD) Extraneous "not" in Reply To. |
