Default OMG! "Fresh Market" grocery store !!

OK, this afternoon all I did was go to the AAA (motor club) office in
Ponte Vedra, FL to get some maps, etc. In that same little shopping
center next door to the AAA office was a grocery store I'd never heard
of or knew about - called "Fresh Market"! OMG, what a store, and whoa
did I ever fall in love (so to speak) - vbg! Alas, I didn't have more
time to explore the store, and I only bought a sourdough baguette and
two decadent, triple chocolate cupcakes that are out of this world.
I'd've purchased more, but I begin my journey home tomorrow.
Unfortunately, there is no "Fresh Market" where I live, but at least
there is one about 45-minutes from home I see a nice, leisurely
afternoon drive in my future to visit that "Fresh Market"!

Very cool- I love finding new places! This sounds like a Whole Foods
or Central Market type store...

I've never been to a Whole Foods before so I can't compare Fresh Market
to that chain. While traveling home (gotta drive about 1000 to 1100
miles or more - depends on the routes & detours I take), I hope to find
a Whole Foods, and maybe I'll also get lucky and find a Trader Joe's to
visit because I've never shopped there either. There are Publix stores
here in JAX and St. Augustine FL, and I was very impressed with that
grocery store, too.

Fresh Market is awfully good. Great produce, much better
than WF in my opinion in that they buy what looks and tastes
good rather than what is available as organic. Their deli is
outstanding, with (to me) really good dry rub baby back
ribs, rotisserie chicken and a small but reasonable cheese
collection. Try their own-label milk and cream! The packaged
soups are great and of course their fresh meat and fish
counters are fine; the fish well-priced and the meat a bit
high. Good sausages and Neuske's bacon and pork products.
Also a well-selected frozen foods section and some really
interesting canned stuff and of course wines (pricey, tho.)
Have fun, you can spend a lot of time and money in there.

According to their store locater, the closest one is more than 60
miles away from where I live. But maybe I'll drop by one the next
time I visit DD in San Jose.

Ditto! In so many ways, I was quite impressed by this "Fresh Market"
store! Their prices were not inexpensive, and given their services and
other amenities, I would gladly pay the prices for the quality of the
products they stock, etc. What more can I say/type?
