Lots of fresh fruit chopped and 'marinated' in Grand Marnier, the pannatone
has been topped and gutted and coated inside and out with a mix of dark and
milk chocolate.

At my friends place, it looked rather good filled to the brim with the
fruit, till my friend decided she wanted cake and cocolate and started
demolishing the 'cup'!!

The fruit was a *huge* hit :-)

To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one.
It is rather and endless struggle
that will go on to the very last moment of our lives.
Nobody is born a warrior,in exactly the same way that
nobody is born an average man.
We have to make ourselves into one or the other.
A warrior must only take care that his spirit is not broken.

I can imagine! Think I'll try that next summer, minus the chocolate
covered panettone (of course) although marinated strawberries in
a chocolate basket might be good for Easter. Where do your
blueberries come from?

That last pic looks like a barn swallow nest...not appealing in the least.

Aussie grown. I bought them with the rest of the fruit.

Didn't think to see where they come from, will have a look when I go down
shortly to get all the nibblies for tonights little soiree.

As well as the GM, I sprinkled over some of my home made vanilla sugar.

Lucky you! We have a very short window of time where we can buy both
at less than outright robbery prices.

She didn't temper the chocolate, so it isn't as shiny as it could have
been. Even so, pretty things could have been added to make it look more
appealing to the ladies.

We have two varieties grown in Oz, the southern cooler variety, and the
mid northern warmer variety.

So we have a selection for quite a few months.

But, same as cherries, they disappear after awhile.

The blueberries on our property are just about ready for picking.... so
I hope the neighbours enjoy them.
