Default Pasta Salad

I made a big batch tonight. Whole wheat Farfalle, red and green bell
peppers, red and yellow cherry tomatoes, green onions, cucumber, celery,
carrots, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, black olives, stuffed green olives,
fresh parsley, pepper and Italian dressing. Less pasta in comparison to the
other stuff to lower the carb count somewhat. Yum!

I have enough for everyone! Tomorrow I will be making broccoli pie.
Probably two of them. Also some mini Calzones.

A semi-recipe would be nice. I love broccoli.

I'm afraid that I don't like "cold spaghetti" or any other form of pasta
cold so pasta salads are not for me.

I will post the broccoli pie recipe later but keep in mind that I have never
made it before. So hopefully it will come out right.

The Calzones are a Sandra Lee type thing. I saw an ad on TV for them using
those crescent rolls. I wasn't paying close attention so will look later to
see if I can get the actual recipe but it looks easy enough to wing it. I
think it was two rolls made into triangles and pressed together and in the
middle is a little pizza sauce, mozzarella and a slice of pepperoni.

I was going to leave these things in the fridge so that husband would have
something to eat when he gets in because we might not be home.

I like this type of pasta salad. I don't like that salad bar staple of
macaroni salad that tastes really sweet.

Sure enough ingredients, but do you only use pepper for seasoning? I use
lots of pepper, but also Salad Elegance from the jar and like a Ranch
type dressing. I make them often and add what I have on hand. I usually
use the shell macaroni, prefer any colored peppers except green, green
onions, cucumber, celery, grated carrots, sliced black olives (no green
please and NO beans). I also like some pickle chopped up in it and diced
pimientos, and lots of diced cooked chicken or cooked fresh cocktail
shrimp. Hubby and I make this a main meal. Sometimes I add diced tomato,
but not always.

Dang! now I'm hungry for a pasta salad..instead we're having pan seared
fresh wild Alaska King Salmon steaks, steamed rice and bake squash.
Yesterday was hubby's birthday, so made him his favorite rum cake and
we'll have more of that for dessert.

Only the pepper, parsley and Italian dressing. No clue what Salad Elegance
was. So I looked it up.

Ingredients:

Sea salt, parmesan cheese(cultured part skim milk, salt, enzymes, micro
crystalline cellulose used for anti-caking); sesame seeds, poppy seeds,
monosodium glutamate, paprika, garlic*, spices*, onion*, silicon
dioxide(anti-caking agent) *Dehydrated

Not something I would eat even if I could eat dairy. Nobody needs MSG IMO
and I have no idea what the "spices" are. If I don't know what it is, I
don't eat it. I also wouldn't want additional salt in this recipe. The
pasta is cooked in salted water and there are olives in it.

I also can't eat Ranch dressing and I don't think that would go well with
Italian dressing. Not that I've ever eaten it, because I haven't. I am not
a dressing person and really the only dressing I will eat is the Italian and
only on pasta salad.
