Default Mediterranean diet on NPR

My favorite way to get my olive oil? Olives.

When I was a kid, I thought olives were vile because I'd only experienced
green olives, which I still dislike. Then I discovered canned black olives
and thought they were pretty decent on pizza, but nothing special. The
olives that they give you 3 or 4 of with a meal at a Greek restaurant are
great, but a side of them was always too pricey. Then I discovered the
refrigerated olives packed in sunflower oil at the international foods
store. They're not as delicious as the olives at the Greek restaurant--or
what you might find on an olive bar at a higher end supermarket--but they're
cheap, and still taste very good.
