Default One thing I like about the local Farmer's market

is the music that is played. There are a few little combos every
Saturday that play simple decent music. There is one team of young
girls, one plays the cello, and the other the violin. They're great.
They're not the world's best musicians, but they sure are worth
listening to for hours. There is also a three man jazz band today.
wonderful.

Our Farmers Market has live performances too, everything from magic
to jugglers to clowns and acrobats to musicians. It's a great market
and it's open almost all year. You and I know that in the great PNW
there are a couple of months that outdoor markets just don't make
sense. Ours also has a really nice building that is in use year
round.

Where are you in the PNW? Washington? We also have an outdoor market
in Waterloo. However during off season, there is no outdoor market.
Too cold. Brrrrr. I really like these small musical acts. I've come
to appreciate simple music as I get older.

That sounds more like the street fair/farmer's market I encountered on
Vancouver Island (a mixture of produce, antiques & food vendors,
crafts fair and street musicians) than any real farmer's markets I'm
familiar with near my house. Not that I don't think it sounds
wonderful or that I wouldn't thoroughly enjoy it.
